I really love the wrinkled water and distorted lip of the cup against the dark background. It would’ve been awesome if you were able to get the whole image in focus but otherwise the image and flow is stunning.

The artistic value of this really nice; it’s beautiful how the splash is so nicely frozen. The flow is really nicely shown. Perhaps you could have gone with brighter lighting (maybe the sun) so you could increase your shutter speed and ISO.

    1. The intent is artistically realized.
    2. The flow phenomena is clearly illustrated.
    3. The photographic technique is well done and the image has nice contrast and hue.

Nice timing catching the sheet of liquid and good job setting up the image. The motion has been effectively frozen. I also think the adjustments to the coloring work well. My one suggestion would be to lock the focus near the front of the cup before dropping the ball in the liquid so that the sheet of liquid in front is in focus instead of the back.

The blue gives the image a definite emotion. I wish the focus was on the wave in the foreground rather than the back. The rim distortion is very interesting.

The blue shades make this image. You did a great job capturing the splash and how it morphs the rims of the mug. The mug itself gives a cool effect on the water due to the blue shades of the water. Cool image.

Great capture of the motion with a sharp image of the water. I like the cool blue tone.

Very cool image! Great choice of background to make the white cup and water splash pop. Also, great job focusing on the water splash which shows the ripples in the water flowing upward. The depth of the image is very clear.

Beautiful photograph. The stone is not even visible inside of the splash, giving it a sort of mysterious action at a distance feeling. Having the front of the cup in focus rather than the back may give it just a little boost.

    – Really enjoy the blueish tint to the whole image.
    – The cup shape splash is very interesting and the splash seems to open up closest to the camera.
    – Maybe trying to make the background completely black and try focusing near the front of the cup.

The picture is cool. It definitely has a high Iso. It has a bit of noise on the handle you can see. You can also see that the far side of the cup is super in focus and the close side is out of focus. Interesting ripples on the far side of the photo.

The dark background in the image offers good contrast between the darks vs the cup and flow visualized. The image is a little grainy/low-res, sometimes this is hard to affect if it is a limitation of your camera, if you cropped the image it may have been useful zoom in more and crop less to promote a crisper focus and more detailed image.

I like how the splash is the size of the cup. Really nice job capturing the details of the rippling in the splash and the editing of the photo to bring in some more color.

I may have wanted more of a color contrast. I am very impressed with successfully slowing down a fast passed flow. I don’t know if I agree were the focus point was placed.

Art: The color contrast between the water and the background is subtle but I think I like that way more than if this had vibrant colors.
Flow: The flow is understandable and easily recognized.
Photographic technique: The focus on the splashing water is very clear and precise.

Nice contrast with dark background and white cup. Good focus on the splash, nice job with the shutter speed. In the future possibly turn the ISO down a little the image appears to have some graininess.

Art: The blue hue present in the image gives a very calming vibe.

Flow: Cool to see how the water will disperse outwards.

Photography: Great way of centering the cup and letting the water behave naturally.

The splash off the surface of the water exhibits interesting fluid flow. The image itself is aesthetically pleasing. The contrast from the background and the ceramic mug stands out and adds effect to the image.
