Great job thinking on your feet and putting alcohol through highlighters to get a fluorescent dye, then capturing it in a “flavor blaster” syringe. I really like the little crown splash you captured, that part of the image is in great focus. I also really like the editing you’ve done to change the coloring in this image from greens and yellows to red, pink, and purple. My only recommendation: consider cropping the bottom of the image but it might make the fuzzy fluid in the glass look too out of focus. Either way, great job!
I really like the blue purple color you edited the dye to have. I actually prefer crowns to Worthington jets so I think the timing was good on this photo. I also like the mixing you can see below the surface of the water. I do think the image could be cropped and maybe straightened a little to make your subject larger in the frame. It also looks like the focus ended up on the front of the cup. In this situation I would have held a target object at the center of the cup with the lights on and locked in a focus and then with auto focus off, turn the lights off and get your image.
Great capture. The color is really appealing. I think the focus is great. The reflections off of the glass are a little distracting.
Great color Love it! I like the color but there is lots of negative space
1. Artistically very nice- the purple is cool.
2. The fluid physics are well shown.
3. The photographic technique is very nice.
Art: The color contrast between the background and the dye is very dramatic.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and recognized.
Photographic technique: The focus on the water with the dye is really well done.
Little crown on top is cool, nice parallel between the circular top of the cup. The bright purple is an awesome contrast with the dark colors. Looks almost neon. Focus is a little off but understandable in the low light.
The coloring of this photo is pretty cool, but the focus is a little harsh and the lighting is a little distracting. The crowning effect on the droplet is cool though!
Very clean background and I enjoy the glass with the crown splash, i think the amount of black space is perfect. Great photo.
Although the image is slightly dark the flourenence gives a lot of contrast. I like how there are some faces trying to show through in the liquid.
The magenta hue gives a calming vibe to the image. It’s also cool to see the reflection of the bottom of the glass contrast with the rest of the fluid flow.
I think the purple creates a very nice neon look. I would crop out the bottom of the glass and just have the purple suspended in air, I think that would be cool but it’s still a good image!
Very interesting coloring. I thin the image could be cropped to be more focused on the glass. There is a lot of negative space
Vibrant colors really pop against the black background. Interesting texturing in the lower part of the tank. The jet crown is really nice, possibly consider cropping in on that a little bit.
I like how there are several flow phenomena captured at the same time in this image. the crown splash captures the eye and the mixing below looks like an angry face inside the glass.
Awesome color and a great black background that really makes your subject pop. The little splash is a nice touch. Your focus is pretty shallow which leads to a loss of resolution in the dye lower down in the image.
Nice simplicity of the photograph. I like the coloring, the dark background, Interesting progression from right to left as the flow gets more turbulent.
Whoopsie, wrong picture.
Nice photo, nice coloring. I like the clear capturing of the crown splash formed. Good clear photo.
Beautiful choice of color. I like how there is only one uniform splash in the center, adds simplicity. One thing that could help is cropping the image a little more so there is not as much black background.
This doesn’t actually look like a worthington jet–more like a crown drop, but it is hard to tell at this zoom level and the focus is also a bit blurry.
– Interesting photo, I find the boundary of the glass a little bit distracting.
– The overall colors of it really is nice, would like to see more of the Worthington Jet.
Art: Really like the florescent purple color
Flow: I think this would be really cool if you cropped out the rest of the glass so it was just top with the worthington jet
Technique: I like that the worthington jet is in focus and the rest of the image is more blurry
Really like the use of UV light in this image. Gives it a neon look that is unique and looks really nice in low light.
