The shadow of the cardboard structure adds to the time lapse very well. The fluid seems to bend around the shadow as if it were a solid. The black/white also lends to the contrast of the image since the fog and the background have a similar color profile.

Great job using a fog machine to create vortexes! I really like your time-step perspective occurring here. The cardboard is in great focus, and the slight creation of a vortex in the far left image can be seen clearly.I also like that you’ve increased the contrast to get the background back to black and make the fog stand out. Overall, great job!

The black and white really adds to the dark feel of the photo. I like the progression; it’s interesting that the triangle shape is retained throughout the images in the fog. Great focus, all of the important details are visible and clear.

Love the series of photos, really helps see the flow. Love how you can see the swirls and vortexes in the smoke. Pictures are nice and clear.

I like seeing the process of the flow going through the obstacle. The black and white images gives a very calming feel to the image.

The progression is really neat. The way the fog rolls past the end of the triangle is interesting how it sort of keeps its shape past the boundary.

Art: The contrast between the fluid interacting with the cardboard object and the background is great. The black and white is a great touch to this piece.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and recognized.
Photographic technique: The focus on the fluid is very well done.

    – Great representation of the fluid flow in sequential steps.
    – The turbulence of the flow adds a nice overall effect to it, and I like the black and white contrast.

Nice to see the flow development over time. Excellent contrast between the background and the fog. The whiteness of the triangle adds nicely to the image.

The four image combo definitely conveys your desired flow with respect to time. I wonder if you could get a slightly brighter image of the fog.

I like that you were able to show the dynamics of the flow using multiple images. I really like how clear the fog is in this photo. Great work!

I like how you created the order in terms of how the fog came into the image. It’s cool to see the progression of the fluid and you do a great job of working to try and create the best image for this set up.

The sequential sequence is pretty cool. Gives a real sense of motion and disturbance. I like the greyscale. The yellow cardboard doesn’t distract from the rest of the image. The focus is very good and i like how you are straight above the obstacle.

I really like the 4 steps of the fog flow. Together these static images reveal the dynamic movement of the fog hitting the object.

The multiple photos help show the direction of flow. Making the smoke more white would have helped make the images pop. Nice angle used to capture the flow.

I really like how you combined four images into one so that you could see the flow moving forward throughout the process. It is cool to see how the triangle splits the fog. nice work with the contrast of the fog and the background.

I like the use of the triangle as an obstacle. The flow can be clearly seen. Great contrast

I like the contrast in this image. The color of the fog is distinct. The flow is well resolved and it’s interesting to see what happens to the flow as it splits.

This image makes me think of the play button on Youtube, which is a good thing. I like the progression of flows, and the way it shows the dead air behind the triangle. I also like your choice of black and white, it makes the somewhat “unprofessional” cardboard obstacle look way better.

    1. The multiple images are artistically cool.
    2. The fluid flow is well demonstrated.
    3. The photographic technique is very cool with the combo.

I like the progression! The black and white made for good contrast. It is kind of odd to read it right to left.

Really cool image! I would want to the the farthest image in detail. The vortexes created around the sharp corners seem very cool and well resolved.
