The sun rays look real, so good job adding those, I think they help the image!

I don’t know how i feel about the artificial sun. The lighting shadows don’t agree with the placement of the sun.

I like the clouds captured. The image has a happy, liberating feel to it. Some of the details are lost in the bright light.

I really like the colors of blue in this photo. The focus is a little off and is a little distracting. Overall great photo!

I really like the brightness of the image, it feels to me like those bright sunny days we get in Colorado where you step outside and your eyes start watering. It’s interesting that you brightened the image and added the sun’s rays yourself. I never would have guessed that, it looks so realistic. The highlighted top-left corners of the clouds have lost a little detail, but the shadows underneath still show enough that I think you’re ok. Great job overall!

Nice puffy cumulus clouds against a beautiful blue sky. Although I think the false sun glare adds an interesting element artistically I’m not sure it should be added to a flow visualization photo where the purpose is to be able to interpret the physics and lighting in the scene. I also agree that the image would be even more interesting if some more detail could be recovered in the bright spots on the clouds.

Personally, I really am impressed on the sun in the corner, I had no idea that it was added during post processing. I like the rays, they make the image for me.

Art: The brightness contrast in this piece is very dramatic.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and easily recognized.
Photographic technique: The focus on the clouds is really well done, the edges of the clouds and details of the clouds is fantastic. The lens that was used is perfect for this application.

The artificial sunlight is spot on; definitely adds to the image’s aesthetic value.

A very crisp, clean focus. The sun rays coming in from the sun have an exceptional effect.

Nice image with good contrast! It looks a bit blown out. I see what you are trying to do with the editing but it might be a bit over-brightened.

I like how bright and clear the photo is. Can tell that there is a good amount of post processing to really make the clouds more sharp than the original.

I like how you zoomed in on a specific cloud to gather the details of the cloud. The sun/sun beams reminds me of every childhood drawing of a sun in the top left corner.

When I think of clouds I imagine an image like this; blue skies and white puffy clouds. Great image!

Really bright and happy effect on this image. Feels a little overexposed, but that just contributes to the effect. Not super sharp, and a bit of noise in there. I actually like the original a bit more, but i see the effect you were going for with your edits.

This photo is very pleasant to look at. The contrast between the blue sky and the white clouds is nice. I like how the sun is shining through in the upper left corner. Clear, crisp, well represented. Nice application of the telephoto lens.

The clouds seem unreal and very cartoon like. This must be because of the low quality and color scheme. However the image shows great contrast and is visually pleasing

Very bright image, sun peaking through the corner of the photo looks cool and really lights up the clouds.

Nice bright image. Great details shown in the clouds. I like how the sky is more of a purple than a blue. The rays of sunshine in the upper left help make the image pop.

This image just feels really happy. The sky is a nice bright blue, the sun is shining bright, and the clouds are just white and fluffy. The ray effect from the sun is nice. Overall very appealing image, nice job.

    – Simple yet clear photo.
    – The sun adds a nice shine to the clouds but kind of makes it a little too bright.
