The range in tones in this photo make it work as a black and white. Fluids wise I don’t find it particularly revealing but it is festive.
Creepy and very creative, It is a fun image because is is hard to tell what the scale is. The structure seems like a cave (large scale) while the fluid flow hints at something smaller.
Great idea to put water and dry ice inside the pumpkin. The fog and fake blood dripping down the pumpkin’s teeth really add to the horror feel, and the whole spirit of Halloween. I really like how this image is in black-and-white. Also, great job capturing this image when the droplet is creating a long ligament. These are interesting, unique takes at a carved pumpkin. Great job keeping up with the holiday season!
The contrast is nice along with the black and white effect.the flow is clearly seen as well. Great image.
I love the use of dry ice and water to blur the inside of the pumpkin. Black and white adds a ton of artistic value to the image besides enhancing the contrast. The theme is extremely creative, the lighting is perfect. Artistically, this image is a home run; and by cropping the image you still managed to highlight the fluid flow aspect.
I like the use of black and white, it gives a strong contrast from the flow to the background. Nice focus on the droplet as well.
The idea to use fog inside of the pumpkin to eliminate the background creates a more eerie look. It’s definitely in the spirit of Halloween! It was a good decision to make the photo black and white.
1. Artistically very cool- nice shot!
2. The fluid is well shown.
3. The photographic technique is well done, and I like the black and white.
I like how you focused on capturing one fluid flow. No distracting elements. Nice use of black and white to give the image an eerie feeling.
The lightning on this is pretty well thought out to give a nice uneasy feeling. Capturing that long length of the ligament came out very well.
Love the pumpkin idea! Yay Halloween!! The contrast between the sharp, teeth of the pumpkin and the long fluid droplet is really nice! The black and white makes it ominous
Art: The contrast between the background and the pumpkin edges is really well done. The use of black and white in this image is great.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and recognized.
Photographic technique: The depth of field used in this piece is really well done, with the successful capturing of the fake blood and the blurred background.
I really like how long the droplet is and the perspective. I enjoy the contrast theme and I wonder if you left the droplet red color it might bring out the fluid flow even more.
I’d like to see the full resolution image but it’s cool to see how viscous the fake blood is.
Nice clean crisp photo, I like the transparency of the liquid in contrast to the opaque foggy background. Nice spooky photo! Effective usage of black and white.
nice use of a seasonal object for this photo. nice work with the fog inside to create the background. Also i like the blood that is used for the flow. it would be cool to see the photo in the original color.
Very cool perspective to capture this eerie drip of blood. I really like the filter used to make this image have a dark feel to it while cropping it to show the drop even better.
The zoom and crop in this image is awesome! It simultaneously makes you wonder what the image is of, while also being immediately recognizable as a jack-o-lantern. The halloween theme is particularly fun, and a nice change of pace from the rest of the images we’ve seen. I’d like to see the image in color, although I like the dark and spooky that black and white edit gave.
Hard to tell from this image if the focus is good because the photo quality on the website isn’t the best. I’m sure it was good though. If you are trying for it to be blood then why the greyscale? It would be cool to have a red accent in a greyscale. Good photo!
I like the drop length and the black and white. The contrast is good. Great focus and clarity! I like the pumpkin
I like how you captured the blood at a large length as it hangs from the pumpkin.
mage appears a little grainy, possibly turn down ISO in future. Black and white adds a nice effect to this Halloweeny image. Well focused on the fake blood.
Interesting and cool perspective! Your choice to use a black and white filter works for the high contrast situation. I like how you captured the drip at almost its farthest extreme length.
