Having the engineering center in the bottom right is a really cool addition to the image. The cloud phenomenon is not subtracted from because of this though. Flow physics is really cool.
I love how it looks like stepping stones on the sky. I haven’t decided if the EC is distracting or not. The contrast between the dark clouds and the bright blue sky is really nice.
Nice lenticular cloud and great range of shades of gray in the sky. I typically don’t like the engineering center but it works in this image for some reason.
This is a truly fascinating cloud image! I wish I would have seen this formation in person, it looks unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. It is pretty surreal. Like you said, it’s as if holes are opening up in the sky. Great job capturing the image!
Art: I really like the contrast between the darker portions of the circular clouds and the bright background.
Flow: The flow is quickly understandable and easily recognized.
Photographic technique: The depth of field used in this piece is perfect.
Really cool pictures! Love how you can see the holes kind of lining up. The building is a nice foreground element. Love the different shades of gray.
Leaving the EC in the photo is a great lifestyle shot! Interesting cloud formation.
The formation illustrated in the image has a dramatic context to it. I am curious how the image would look different if you focused in on one of the ares on the transitional boundary on the left edge of the clouds, as that is what I find most interesting!
Interesting choice of hue, the purple seems to work well. The Horizon dips in and out of the frame and is a little distracting. There is some saturation in the bottom corner of the image. Very interesting clouds, fun to look at
Nice work capturing such an interesting phenomenon. The big “hole” over the engineering center looks like it’s the most detailed one, maybe a close up on that would be interesting.
I like how the clouds look slanted in this image. The image has nice contrast which helps highlight the clouds.
Cool contrast in the cloud formation. Some nice bright white mixed with dark layers is nice. Might want to consider trying to remove the building in the bottom left.
1. The photo is artistically interesting.
2. The physics are well shown.
3. The photographic technique is well done- the incline of the engineering center roof compositionally complements the vertical of the clouds and is visually fantastic.
The cloud structure is super interesting and intricate, really nice capture! The top of the engineering center is a little distracting but the image is still nice and crisp.
I like the mothership idea, let’s go with that. Good contrast & very interesting flow you captured.
I really like the ring in the sky. The purple clouds also gives a nice contrast against the light blue sky.
First, add a higher resolution picture to the website. The opening of the clouds is fascinating especially how there seems to be multiple clouds with that feature. Blacking out the engineer tower might help add to the image since cropping wont work.
Nice contrast in the clouds, the dark bottoms with white sides looks pretty neat. The pattern the clouds form is also very nice, and I like the engineering center peaking up in the middle.
Nice photo! I like the dynamic range, I like the coloring of the clouds. I like how there is the top of the engineering center on the lower left, it gives the photo a little bit more perspective. Interesting cloud phenomenon.
I love the layering of these clouds and the contrast between the blue sky and the dark, almost purple looking clouds.
Really nice. a bit blown out. great contrast.
I really like the different perspective of the image that brandon used. I really like the shapes in the cloud and how it looks like a tornado got cut off midway down. Interesting and i like the perspective that the engineering center provides.
– Interesting photo, I like the contrast with that bubbly cloud. As much as I love to see the engineering center in all it’s glory. I think it might be better cropped out in some fashion.
Posted image quality a bit low, consider compressing the image a little less than the future. Having the top of the tower in the photo looks kind’ve like a sentry. Mix of dark and light clouds is visually appealing.
