Very cool and surreal colors going on in this flow. Also the contrast of the two colors is great. The swirls are very well visualized as well.
The Von Karman flow is clearly seen in this image. I really like how the dye is blue-black and shows up very well against the background with a gradient of color.
This image has a very mellow appeal. I may have actually used the frame right before this one in my image. The color balance is just right so that the white background is very pure and clean without being blown-out and impeding upon the flow of the dye.
The first swirling vortex off the obstruction is cool. Contrast is superb. The folding at the left of the image adds a nice effect.
i really like the way that the the vortex develops in this image. nice work in post processing for this image.
I really like the vortex pair shown developing behind the cylinder. They provide a nice symmetry to the image, contrasting with the asymmetry of the downstream wake. nice background contrast
One of my favorite things about these photos is the quality of the background and sharpness of the flow. Good work.
Really beautiful image. The symmetrical vortexes are beautiful. Love the delicate wisps. Perfect focus.
Great focus and contrast to really emphasis the flow. The symmetric vortices really grab my attention. If you inverted the image horizontally the flow might seem more “natural”
I like that the first two vortices coming off the cylinder are almost symmetrical of one another.
Great capture of this interesting flow phenomena. The contrast between the white background and blue dye is fantastic. Nice work creating this experiment!
Nice fluid flow! I like the near symmetric vortexes. Awesome!
Enjoyable and meaningful image. Great processing. turbulence is shown very clearly in that image.
– Cool photo, I like the developing stage it has a nice symmetry. Would be nice to see a multitude of colors using different dyes.
– Great use of problem solving to get slow enough flow.
I like the symmetry of these vortices, and the one extra eye in the upper center of the image is cool looking as well. What is the white around the cylinder?
i love this image! Great contrast and focus. The physics is clear
Neat shot of a von Karman vortex street start-up! I love the symmetry on those two main vortices.
Awesome detail and focus. Great choice in color. Very cool flow formation.
Once again, you did a good job capturing this image the set up seemed strenuous but it definitely paid off. Awesome image
