Flow runs from left to right over a weir: a hump in the water forms due to the Venturi effect, causing folds in the water surface to form, and the reflection of the weir is detracted.

The flows look wrinkly then it bumps then becomes laminar. I think the fluid phenomenon (Venturri Effect) was somewhat unexpected and well imaged. The colors look warm and wood-like. Apparently putting your hand on the flash is a good technique for getting that color.
I love the flow that is occuring in this image. I would like it if the background was softened a little more as well.
I wish the depth of field could have been deeper to better see what flow I am looking at. The focus seems to be about right where it should be- showcasing the flow. The exposure could be a little bit greater to showcase some of the flow that is lost in the shadows.
Excellent image. This setup creates amazing flow to observe. It’s a little dark but overall great image
I really appreciate the aesthetics and the physics of this flow. I wonder what other flow geometries could be created using a device similar to the ITLL flume.
The motion is really nice, a true flow! I love the rippling effect and the color gradient across the wood. The focus seems a bit off, some of the crests are a little blurry, but overall good composition and clear intent.
It clearly illustrated phenomena with understandable flow. I think the picture was interesting.
Art: the ripples in the and warm color are soothing to the eye.
Flow: the turbulent and laminar flows are clearly shown in a nice way
Technique: great lighting and focus
The photography here is excellent. Very nice compression waves here
I like the blur in this image, gives a sense of motion.
The ripples in this image are really interesting. The way the light reflect off of these makes an extra texturized feel.
This is a beautiful image. The colors are very nice, and I like the reflections in the water. It reminds me of fish scales.
The fluid flow phenomenon is pretty unique and the warm colors are a nice touch.
Nice experiment with open channel flow. I really like your lighting composition and how you captured the texture of the wood in the image.
The reflection of light and the color of the wood works very well together
The art of the multiple textures with the wood and the background are very nice. The flow also contributes well to the art, it is interesting to see the changing velocities and how the waters flow changes. The image is high quality and I like how you focused well on the flow
I really like how you focused on the intersection between one flow texture and the next. It clearly illustrates the phenomena with which you described.
Very subtle image, I like the warm color tones, the depth of field lends a very pleasing, calming effect. Motion of the water is clearly visible.
The focus in this picture was done really well to see the ripples and texture of the water. The colors in this photo are very appealing and the lighting is very good. Overall a very interesting and original picture.
I think this is a very high quality picture. I really like the focus in that picture and I think it is a good representation of the Venturi effect!
This flow is very appealing, The wood block gives it a very natural feel and the flow physics are visible. Great picture.
Very beautiful picture, good coloring. The flow is understandable. Focus is good for this picture. Good idea.
The overall aesthetic is interesting. The colors are quite beautiful. Focusing the front ripples was a good choice since that’s the largest phenomenon here.
The flow is really cool. I also like the colors and the lighting in good. This reminds me of the ocean when the tide is low and tide pools form.
I think cropping it a little more might be helpful, to get rid of the top and bottom of the image.
I think the focus is kind of disjointed but I think that actually adds to the image! The reflections of the curvy textures are rather appealing.
I love the rippling effect this image has, exhibiting the water flow movement. Cool motion blurring effects.
Sweet picture. Looks like fish scales. Hard to grasp exactly what’s going on which I think is a plus. Very interesting.
Maybe some coloring to the water would make it more pleasing to look at. Overall it’s very interesting, good exposure and I’d say dramatic.
Beautiful colors and flow demonstration. I think the focus is a little off though, playing with manual focus and a faster shutter speed might have promoted a little more clarity.
The picture is interesting to look at and the flow is demonstrated well, but I think it would be more interesting if you could introduce some more color into the picture. It would be interesting to see a flow like this if you could put some florescent dyes in the water.
The water is slithery like that of a snake. Interesting to see all the light that is diffracted from the surroundings due to the rippling of the water flow.
Cool effect, maybe adjust the focus/aperture speed so we can see more of the effect.
the aesthetic is beautiful, I love the warm tones from the wood and warm colored reflection on the water.
flow is well captured, good photographic technique!
The visualization of the flow in this image is fantastic. The contrast in color could be changed a bit and would make the image look better in my opinion. The rippling on the surface of the water is very cool.
Good flow visualization. I like how the water seems to ‘wrinkle’ as it moves. The focus is on the wooden block underwater, but I wonder what the image would look like if the focus what on the water?
Really good demonstration of the flow with a lot of highlights from the lightings. Really love the contrast between the water and the warm background
Great photo. The focus is perfect. The lights reflecting off the top of the ripples adds a nice effect.
Beautiful flow! Background is kinda distracting, try using other colors for background. Nice lighting, but you might need to increase the focus.
Very cool image, the flow in the image is very interesting, I like the way you have small depth of field to highlight the center of the image. Color is nice and warm.
This is a cool example of how fluids react to other object by flowing around them. It is a little hard to know what is going on, but once it was explained it was clear
This is an awesome way to show the way water flows over different surfaces. The wrinkles are more in focus so it would have been cool to see them more zoomed in.
Really trippy how the surface of the water conforms to the gear. Neat fluid flow. Good photography, although I’d suggest focusing the outsides of the image better.
I wish the flow was a little more focused! The lighting is very peaceful and goes with the flow.
The ripples the water are really nice and show the flow in the flume really well. How did you get the colors in the photo? I feel like the amount of red is a bit overpowering. The focus on the ripples could be refined a bit more as well.
Very nice demonstration of the flow and the affects caused, but I would enjoy it if the colors were more lively and saturated.
