You got a really nice sharp picture of clear water! I was zoning out at the wrinkles in the water – meaning the flow phenomenon was communicated.
I noticed that the ice formation on the rock also looks pretty interesting. It might be interesting to do an experiment on how the water temperature affects the flow.
Tranquil and nice to look at, could use some post editing to make the colors pop a bit more.
Very tranquil, and a good composition. I actually like the wide crop here, and the clarity of the water is nice. There are some interesting flow phenomena as well. Nice shot.
Beautiful flow. The bright rock is a little distracting but otherwise I really like the ripples going around the rock.
The picture illustrates clear phenomena of ripples on the surface of water. Great focus with beautiful lights to show the ripples.
Very smooth and clear image. The flow is visible and the physics of it curling around the rock are very apparent. I really like This image but I wish it was a little more zoomed in on the flow.
The definition in the water is very crisp. The snow really stands out, which is maybe not the desired focus of the flow phenomenon. The lack of visible turbulent flow is unique.
I like this piece, the photography techniques were well done. The flow of the water with the ripples/waves is interesting to look at.
This image looks alive and well focused. The swirling water is nice to see.
I like the composition of using the stream lines from the creek. Great focus in the image and capturing depth/clarity of the water.
Art: The beauty in the image is in its simplicity, and I can get a feel for the day this image was taken.
Flow: The ripples of the flow are high lighted by the reflections.
Technique: the colors could be improved, and perhaps add some cropping
Great specular highlights, motion of the water is clearly visible, contrast or saturation adjustments could allow the flow to become more visible, as all of the colors in the image are very similar to each other. I like how the water flows to one corner of the image.
The lighting really worked well for capturing stream lines of the flow. Did you try cropping the image or zooming in more to really focus on these?
The intent of this picture was realize nicely. I can see why you’d want to keep the rock in the picture because it adds more to it’s beauty. But cropping might make it more focused. I really like the laminar flow in this picture.
The natural aspect of it is great, the clear water is captured very well! The ripples can be seen very well.
Well captured. The ripples of the water seem as if the flow just slides over the rock. The light captured on the rock almost seems as if it could pass as snow or some white sprinkling.
Nice natural flow image, the flow is in good focus. I think it will be great you can do some editing.
The flow is very satisfying. This is a great image. The ripples in the water are very interesting.
I like how you decided photograph something already found in nature. The water looks clear and smooth. I think it would be interesting to take the picture from a different angle (not bird’s eye but something closer to the ground and horizontal.
Pretty smooth flow of water and a very nice angle. I like how the water is going around the rock. Definitely in focus, and great amount of light!
The reflection in the ripples make the flow very obvious and cool to look at.
I like how this image is slightly larger scale, seeing the natural effect of the river flow. Changing the colors may make the stream lines of the flow easier to see.
The smooth flow of the water is well captured. The soft lighting helps highlight the different wrinkles in the water, as well as the smooth flow down the rock.
I really liked the lightness in this picture and how smooth the flow looks like.
You’ve captured a really beautiful flow, the water is rippling like paper folding. The aesthetic could be more interesting but good photographic technique.
The pull of the water is apparent here. – I can feel the flow. The white on the rock is slightly distracting. Great focus.
I like the reflections shown however maybe if you cropped it or zoomed in to show a specific flow? Other than that I really like the flow itself and how clear it is.
The eddy effect seen in this image is very interesting. The coloring on this image is kind of bland, I think that would liven up the picture. All in all really interesting picture.
The flow of the water in this picture is very appealing. It looks so smooth and natural. The lighting was done really well and the water looks so clear. Did you consider cropping the picture more to focus your picture more on the ripples of the water?
I like how the water is so clear and it looks kind of like glass. The ripples on the water show the direction of the flow well which is really nice.
Very beautiful picture, good motion of water. The flow is understandable. Focus is good for this picture.
Love how we can see the flow of the stream. The water is super clear without any disturbance. Didnt have much contrasting which might me boring for some people
Art
I like it! It’s very aesthetically pleasing.
Flow
I like the finger-like structures.
Photographic Technique:
Everything is in focus. What do you want the viewer to focus on?
I think it would have been cool to angle the shot almost along the top surface of the water to see ripples better. Overall very clear image!
I love the visualization in nature rather than a more controlled setting. The clear water is beautiful. I really like ripples of the water.
Cropping the image a bit more might be helpful.
Great capture of the motion of the water. The white highlight on the rock is a little distracting but it was probably unavoidable. I would add some contrast to highlight the ripples.
Cool fluid flow from the rocks, nice to see the laminar flow. I’d suggest some post processing to bring out the contrast. Overall nice image though.
It’s cool that this is a natural flow as opposed to all of the other experimental set ups. The flow is also cool as it curves around the rock. The picture is focused well.
The clarity of the water makes this a beautiful picture, like a sheet of plastic put over the rocks. You might have tried to tae this at an angle where the rock isn’t reflecting as much light, but the flow is quite nice.
The lighting was a little bright off of the rock, but the streamlines are very visible. I would consider propping a little bit more. Overall good job.
It’s awesome that you used a natural flow! the colors came out awesome and its way more beautiful than expect for Boulder creek! Nice focus!
The streak lines present in the river are prominent and provide an interesting texture to the image. Since the sky was overcast at the time of this photograph, it helped illuminate those streaks as well.
I like the swirling vortex that has formed in this image, exhibiting the characteristics of stream water flow.
