Awesome picture Stephen. Go check out my critique of your work on Canvas for more details but I loved the idea of milk and food coloring. I don’t think I could do any better and it’s awesome!

The milk, food coloring, and soap looks very dreamy and psychadelic. It seems like there is some color enhancement or noise reduction left to do.

I can’t quite tell if the flow is in focus, but I appreciate that the photo is well framed and not distracting.

Nice demonstration of flow through color, but it might be more aesthetically pleasing with either more saturation or more dye to accentuate the colors

Wow, this image is really stunning. The colors were well chosen and together they make a great visualization of a polarity driven flow.

The fluid motion shown is majestic. The colors blend in together in a very smooth fashion however maybe zooming out a bit to show more of the flows / colors

  • The flow looks really cool, almost like a colored marble or some kind of stone. I like how you took the image close up to the milk to focus on a small part of the flow.

I like the colors and how the colors blend together and how the picture is slightly blurred together. Did you mean for the colors to blur like this?

Art: A great looking and creative experiment.
Flow: Clear and evident in the image, the streaks are quite nice to look at.
Technique: Could increase focus, but overall very good.

I like how it looks like a painting. You can’t really tell that it’s milk in the background. I might suggest sharper edges (maybe through post processing)?

The flow is so silky, as if the colors are drifting in the wind.

The colors look cool in the way that the flow is pulling the dye’s upwards. I think the flow was illustrated well. I think that the picture could be a little more in focus.

The colors in this picture really stand out. The flow in this picture is interesting because it looks like the flow is converging on one point at the top of the picture. Artistically, this picture looks really cool.

I like the colors in this. They are calmer and less bright which makes the flow seem slower and more controlled. I like the way the image captures the motion well.
In the future, I would make it less grainy. This might have to do with how it was uploaded.

Great colors, it has a great contrast with the white milk and coloforul dyes. Nice photography, good contrast and highlights. Good fluid flow as well, i’m not sure what caused it to flow like that.

This very nicely shows the complex maringoni surface-tension-driven flow.
