A video demonstrating the behavior of ferrofluid (iron nanoparticles suspended in oil) when exposed to an electromagnetic field. Purple and yellow watercolors were added to the ferrofluid for aesthetic purposes as well as to demonstrate oil and water mixing behaviors.

I love how alive the ferrofluid was. Colors are beautiful. Really well done!
This looks alien like! I love how it came out! the great focus made this image successful
Fascinating! I feel like I’m in Aperture Laboratories (Portal) or Blade Runner – it has a solemn laboratory aesthetic with some larger and sinister being altering the scene. At 1:02 I enjoyed watching the yellow water and ferrofluid make pockets and transfer. Maybe a close-up slow-motion version of that scene could expand upon that.
Captivation imagery, almost a disturbing representation of the flow.
nice video editing and use of ferrofluid. good technique and setup as well. great video
The angles really worked to show this flow fully! Great job!
Tremendous quality. I wonder what’s causing the vibrations that can been seen in certain parts of the video.
It feels alive. I wanted it to resolve in that time soo much, but still gorgeous.
Very cool. The music fits well, and I really like the colors and how the dish was framed. I really like the color mixture.
The the shots were edited to go along with the music makes the ferrofluid really come to life. It has periods where you sense the fluid becoming agitated and then relaxed again.
Favorite shot is the one where the orange and yellow plumes are really present. I like that you worked more to show the isolated dish with the magnet hidden underneath which makes it really cool
To me this almost feels like the life cycle of the fluid. It grows, expands, gains color, then fades away in the video. Awesome job.
I like the darker feel of this video, the lighting was great but the focus was off on one of the clips.
Very cool video. I love all the different motions that are shown, and the way the fluid seems almost alive. The camerawork was very good.
Great job illustrating mixing behaviors using water, oil, and ferrofluid. The various textures in this piece are interesting to look at and the way you filmed this was captivating and provided a cohesive feeling.
Awesome video! i like the choice of music and how the camera angles were changed during the motion to change the aspect.
Very interesting video that highlights the characteristics of ferrofluid. The multitude of colors is awesome. The music behind the video made the video more intriguing and ominous. Overall, really cool experiment and video.
The fluid almost looks as if it exhibits something of an alien lifeform. Appearing very scaling as if its an exotic reptile skin.
This is a really fascinating video. The colors and background give it a very industrial look. The video has great focus and the physics of the flow are clearly visible.
There is a lot of glare on the ferrofluid that I feel takes away from the actual flow visualization. Adding the yellow coloring adds a really cool effect. Good focus and framing.
The video is really well put together, especially with the music you added. There are a few parts where there was a big glare and you could see your hand waving the magnet, which was slightly distracting.
Great video editing, and great use of ferrofluid. I like all the different clips you show. I don’t think there is anything I would change about it.
Great job moving the Ferrofluid without showing the movement of the magnet. The video is hypnotic, the music really helps add to that feeling. The video is shot very well and I like the different setups and colors you used to add some diversity of the shots that you have in the video!
Great use of adjuting video angles throughout, it really makes it a lot more dramatic.
The music is also timed well with the changes in colors, and creates a really intense experience.
The reflection from the window is pretty distracting. Nice choice of music.
It is really cool to see how the fluid all groups together under the magnetic field, and then when the magnet is pulled away, it goes back to acting like a normal fluid and disperses around the dish.
Very cool video of the setup of the phenomenon occurring. You’ve captured the mystical quality of ferrofluid very well, especially with the soundtrack on the video clip.
This video is beautiful. The flow is really fascinating to watch and the colors are wonderful. The camera angle is great as is the background and the mirrored dish in the beginning.
