This image was created using ferrofluid, watercolors, and a ceramic magnet on a petri dish. Due to ferrofluids magnetic property and hydrophic effect with water, the following design was created. The original colors of the watercolors were purple and yellow, but changes to the color balances of the image created a wider spectrum of color. On the outer edges of the image, flow lines can be seen. These were created by the watercolors becoming stained with ferrofluid making them attract to the center.

I like this image a lot. I feel a little overwhelmed with colors, but they all look fantastic. If there was a higher resolution image on the site, that’s the only way I think this image could be improved.
There is more of a feel that I’m in Aperture Laboratories with some large ominous figure messing with the action, manipulating the scene. The bright bluish white and black just add to this tense feel.
I love how intense the colors are. It really reminds me of otherworldly art. The saturation seems a little high, but overall the colors are great.

This is a really colorful and dramatic image. The color flow from top to bottom is really nice but I find the background a bit distracting from the ferrofluid part of the image. the image is in great focus and has good clarity

The oversaturation actually works here. Loving the various vibrant colors showing in the ferrofluid. There is not a lot of fluid flow occurring, but the uniqueness and colors make up for it!
Great use of color, I think it makes for a fantastic image. Also, great use of ferroflluid. Overall great image, my only complaint is that it looks a bit too photoshoped, kinda grainy in some places.
The colors in the photo really pop, I like that you brought out a lot of contrast. The photo is focused and framed well to fill the image, I like the mystery that it adds to the photo.
Great colors. Adding the paint to the ferrofluid was definitely a cool idea that resulted in really interesting and unique images. I feel as though there may be a bit too much contrast in the image because you are losing some information in the really dark blacks within the image.
The clarity of the photo is done really well, allowing for the flow to be seen really well. There is some mystery to what this image is overall, I wouldn’t have known without the other video.
