I love these images. The focus on the spatter is perfect and the idea is really unique. The images really tell a story and I think that is powerful.

Very precise capture of the scatter effect of the water. Nice effect with some great focus

You could combine the two images side by side, mirrored, like where the pot is in the middle and cacti are coming out the side like ears. It’s quite simple yet dramatic and the cactus makes for a southwestern feel.

The focus in this image is really good, the droplets flying outward really make for a good composition.

Great image, I love the framing and the time resolution that makes the water seem frozen in time. The focus is good and really accentuates the three-dimensional distance of the water droplets from the cactus. Nice blurred background, and attention is nicely drawn toward the cactus.

Really nice shot. Everything is time-and-space resolved, even the microdroplets! The unzipping effect is real cool.

Great focus in the great moment. Clearly shows the physics the picture tries to illustrate.

Awesome capture. The water coming at the camera gives the photo a cool effect. Love the symmetry in the photo as well.

There’s a lot of great detail and motion in this shot, and the colors are really nice as well. You could maybe put the two side by side for a before/after thing. Really well resolved, the water looks great.

The one were the water is mixed with the dirt has a really cool effect that makes it feel like the water is just about to hit you. I also like how you were able to catch the balloon just before it pops.

Really like both of the images coupled together. I would edit them into one image with a frame around both, as I think they look really good side by side together.

Nice photo, I like how the balloon feel straight over the cactus and that the impact didn’t make the cactus fall over. I like the golden colors of the photo.

Great timing. I like how you show both phases of the balloon getting compressed at first contact, as well as the dynamic moment of the balloon being popped. I enjoy the sporadic chaos as the cactus remains in focus once the balloon is bursted.

Cool image. I really like how dynamic it is, and how the before image helps set up the main photo. The focus is good, and the soft lighting and background add to the image.

Great capture of the bursting water balloon. I like how the water radiates out around the cactus. Have you considered a black and white image? I find the yellowish background a little too colorful. Maybe you could even selectively color the cactus.

I love the depth of field that is seen throughout the picture. You are able to see the cactus clear and then the splash blurs out as it moves away.

Really nice image, it shows a great dynamic range. Very well timed and well exposed. my only suggestoin is to change the white balance (color temp) to make it less yellow.

Excellent focus and depth of field. I like that the water closest to the viewer is out of focus while the cactus is in focus. Great job capturing the impact of the water balloon and its aftermath.
