Here is a video by Nigel Stanford that demonstrates the interesting effects of cymatics on fluids and dust with various flow apparatuses. What I like about this is the variation between different visual effects as a result of different sound frequencies and forces. For example, the bass drum creates some sort of vortex in a water stream while a standing pool of water generates geometric patterns when exposed to different sine wave frequencies.
