great work on capturing this picture. the background is nice and the lighting and the contrast make the picture good to look at.
The image is well focused and I like how the flow itself keeps a uniform bowl shape until gravity takes over. The light looks surprisingly natural. The edges of the flow might be clearer if you shot with a higher depth of field, but what you have does a nice job at abstracting the background. What would we expect to see if the bowl of the spoon was deeper or shallower? Did your camera get wet when you tried this?
Great centered photo and the water was captured beautifully. I could imagine its hard to capture this photo without reflection from the spoon. Perhaps the light could be natural or from a different angle. Great photo.
Nice set odf the capture speed as well as the focus which contributes to make it a impressive image. The lighting is well-design specially wjen it’s coming to be a sink
Looks great. I like the framing and the cropping choice. The shallow depth of field real gives the image depth. how did you choice your focus? did you think of taking the photo downward?
There is great spray breakup in the flow. I think the natural lighting brings out nice contrast in the image. The reflection off of the spoon is really cool.
Get Wet doing dishes. I like that the image tells a story and it is executed well. Its simple but still give some cool complex flow. Lighting could be better to get rid of the reflection on the spoon.
I like how this image captures something that we all experience on a probably daily basis. The flow is captured really well, and it’s the clear focus of the image. The lighting is also good, and adds to that effect. My only complaint would be the that the background colors are a little grimy, but that is extremely nit-picky.
The transition from the sheet flow to droplets is very clear in this image and the focus and depth of field add to the image. I think that a faster shutter speed could help to make the image more crisp but overall it is clear.
Nice inspiration lol. It’s a cool image, I like it. The stream in the center acts as an eye-line. A faster shutter speed would be better though, 1/320 is acceptable for a still image while holding a camera, but for high-speed stuff it should be closer to 1/2000. The background texture actually adds to the image in my opinion, cool!
Great composition and idea for this photo. I like the upper portion of the background and how it contributes to the symmetry of the image. It would be interesting to see how a wider field of view would look in this image, however the shallow depth of field makes the image stand out in 3D.
Being able to see the symmetry around the spoon is really interesting, and I think it looks good to see some fluid in focus and others more blurry. The droplets towards the outside of the sheet are captured well. I think a more uniform background would enhance the image.
Like the focus on the stream and how the droplets are out of focus but still clearly defined. Did you try different velocities of the water out of the faucet? Really like the circular imagery. Any thought on flipping the spoon over?

You could definitely edit the back ground a bit more in order to enhance the image.
Using a fast shutter speed was very effective in getting individual particles in this image. The splash is really pleasing to the eye as it forms a partially uniform sheet.
I think as far as spoon pictures go, this one came out pretty great. I really like how clearly you can see the sheet of water breaking up into little droplets. Only critique I would give would be to try and tone down the reflection of light off the spoon.
The detail in this image is amazing. The flow looks dramatic. Increasing the darkness of the background can help increase the contrast and bring greater detail to the flow.
The shutter speed is super fast. The dynamic of water flow is great. Great focus on the image.
I like the shutter speed choice. Gives the audience a good sense of the physics of the laminar to turbulent flow from something as simple as droplets on a spoon. Good focusing on the spoon as well. Gives good sense of depth.
I think a less distracting background might give a clearer idea. I like how you captured the water in the image and it seems focused. I like the lighting in the spoon and the blur in the foreground
Good focus and shutter speed to make a clear image. I like how you placed the spoon in the center of the image to give a good symmetry of the splash.
Overall, the background is fairly dark, if the background was pure black, it could be a very interesting image. This type of setup has a lot of potential!
I think this image is nicely done! You captured the individual droplets well, as well as the sheet of water coming off the spoon. I like the image composition as a whole, and think the background enhances the image rather than detracts from it – you said you might want to work with the background, but I don’t think it’s necessary (it would look great either way). Good job!
I also get wet when washing spoons. Pretty crisp image, might be able to slightly clearer picture. Could edit the background slightly.
I’m glad that you captured something that drives me crazy anytime that I eat cereal. The focus of the image seems to be on the spoon which gives a very interesting contrast of fluid to spoon.
Very nice looking! It is inspiring me to try a bunch of different things similar to that. I wonder if you get a solid background and maybe a clear spoon if you could make it look like it was happening mid-air for no reason. Could be really cool. The photo is great and could only use a bit more shutter speed to sharpen it up a bit.
