I like the black and white of the gif – I agree with Abbie, I think you could increase the frame rate of the gif without us losing the ability to see what is going on. Good job!
This is really interesting and I think you did a great job using a GIF. In the future I would speed up the frame rate to make it closer to a movie so to speak.
I like the black and white. The editing work hide the focus lose and weaken the motion blur.

I like the choice of experimental setup. The black and white image well-represents the surface tension-driven flow. It has a nice expansive effect. Try using a macro lens for better focus.
I like the idea of turning it into a gif, it helps to show the progression over time. The black and white coloring really helps to accentuate the boundaries in the dye.

This a very interesting image. I like that you decided to go with a pure black and white image, I’m not sure how the colors looked before hand but that could be interesting to see!
