This image is created from dropping colored ink into water and capturing it while it diffuses. It is interesting how the photographer uses color diffusion to make a flower-like shape.

First place – I love how much this image resembles a flower and the colors are beautiful together.
First place. The colors are very crisp and the image is spectacular. The lighting that seems to come from underneath the photo is mesmerizing.
Second place. I love how the ribbons of ink looks like it could be smoke from a volcano or a million other things. Great photography too.
This is my third-place vote for Best of Web. This image is so beautiful, it doesn’t even resemble ink in water. I think my favorite part is the light at the center of the flower, it looks like the center of the flower is a portal to a different, lit up world.
First place. The colors are stunning and help the different forms stand out against each other.
Stunning 2nd place. The medium almost looks like a colorful fog. The image brings a very tranquil feeling.
Third Place – This picture is very aesthetically pleasing both regarding the colors used and the interesting smoke patterns. I also like how the smoke patterns form a floral shape, which adds to the artistic nature of the image.
