This photograph was captured by Helene Caillaud and published on her website in 2013. She added different colored dye to cream and dropped it into water. She then rotated the picture to make it appear as if the flow is moving upwards. The higher density of the cream causes it to fall through the water and create buoyancy-dominated plumes. The black background creates a stark contrast with the pastel colors in the cream to produce a beautiful image. I think this shows an incredible balance of science and art.

Second Place- This image is creative as it shows different colors with vapors, its quite aesthetically pleasing.
Second place, the coloring and the flow just looks simple and good
Second Prize. This image is so interesting in the texture, color, and movement it displays. We all know how difficult and complex it is to adequately capture the motion and details of smoke or vapor, so this is really impressive.
Third prize. Such an interesting picture! I like the variety of colors and how it looks like the fluid is moving upward
