The captured photograph shows what is called a Haboob. It is a phenomenon where a collapsing thunderstorm creates a strong wind current on the ground that caries dust. The result is a wall of dust that is seen in the image. This wall is also referred to as the storm front. I find the science behind this phenomenon intriguing, and the result artistic as the dust gives visibility to a side of thunderstorms rarely seen.

Third place. I have never heard of a Haboob before. It is amazing what flow phenomena can happen in nature.
