Great choice of music here, the disharmony of the chords and out-of-sync percussion lend an unsettling feeling to the vortices. The vortex rings are brilliantly captured, especially the one at 0:53.
The video is so relaxing and so beautiful. The light is perfect as it shows the inside of the rolls.

I’m very impressed with your ability using both focus and exposure to capture individual wisps of smoke and the two halves of the vortex. Also, your choice of music and timing made for both a scientifically interesting and artistically beautiful piece of art. The repeat-ability of your vortices due to your experimental set-up speaks for itself.
I thought the music paired very well with the eerie movement of the smoke; visually very impressive.
Amazing how you were able to capture the vortex of the rings. What did you set your focus to?
I used my hand in the frame before the shot to manually set the focus where I expected the vortices to pass.
I really like the way the rings swirl. It reminds me of cgi time lapses of how galaxies or solar systems swirl. The music is also edited perfectly and adds to the overall effect very well.
Very good job. I do not have any technical suggestion but maybe taking the video from different angles would make it more proficient.
Were the vortexes veering off in different directions when they flew across frame?
I’m curious to know how you set up this experiment because it looks so good and well-focused! Great job!
I love the movement you captured in the smoke vortexes. I think the video would benefit from slowing it down more to really see the detail in the smoke.
I appreciate how many different types of flow this video was able to capture. Not only were you able to capture the toroidal vortex rings, but some of them were able to collapse into very interesting flows (one in particular that comes to mind was an almost tornado like flow coming off the top of a vortex).
The lighting capturing the spiraling inner structure is awesome

Amazing video! I think the music really complements the flow of the spirals. They almost look like they are animated!
The focusing seems perfect as the vortices are extremely crisp. The leap frogging aspect of colliding vortices is mesmerizing.

In the book Cloud Spotter’s Guide it mentions a a movie in the 1900’s about mist zombies scaring a town and the music you chose gives me the feeling of suspense
How did you make these vortices? They looked very well-structured.
The outline of the vortexes is absolutely beautiful. So clear and so visually descriptive of the fluids. It’s mesmerizing.
I really like how smoothly the vortices moved across the space. The music also fit the mood and flow of the video exceptionally well.
The rings remind me of cinnamon rolls because they look like they could be unwrapped layer by layer. I also think it is impressive how consistently you were able to form these rings.
