In this video, the effects of surface tension can be artfully witnessed. The alcohol in whiskey and wine seem to dance around the sides of glass walls. The “tears” or “legs” of wine of whiskey are commonly attributed to the quality of the drink but are more directly correlated to the alcohol content.

This is such a cool effect, I love that there are “tears” that seem to retreat and move into another section instead of flowing down smoothly.
I love the shallow depth of field used in this shot. It really helps you focus on the flow while still setting up an artistic scene overall.
Great transitions and macro shots. I think a music track would really enhance this video, perhaps go for classical? Also, you can file this under “Marangoni effect”.
Cool video, you captured the fluid movement really well.
I like the framing of the wine glass. It creates some nice angles to see the liquid.
Fabulous photography- very clear and well focused. Great color contrast.
I like how this video is framed. Good job choosing the title and you made me learn about something new.
I like the focus of the video. The subtle hues are also great to see
I had never paid attention to this occurrence, thank you for making this, I have learned much more about this surface tension. Have you thought about how temperature might affect it?
Great focus and use of time lapse!
I like the color and lighting present in the video, some music would have added to the video.
Unique idea. loved it mate!
It’s very interesting how a higher alcohol content has a stronger dancing effect.
I love the video, a great choice of title, bravo. I’ ma have to check this out myself when I get home tonight.
The science behind this is very interesting. The dance of the evaporating fluid droplets is very neat.
I really appreciate the quality and focus of this video, well done dialing in your camera settings.
I like the use of a time lapse to display how smooth the tears look.
I think you captured a very cool fluid effect, and I think music would have given it another layer!
Cool phenomenon. I think you aced the focus as you can clearly see the tears
I really like the effect it gave when you sped up the video. Really good quality too
I was aware of this phenomena but had no idea it was so dynamic. Very interesting.
The video was very relaxing. Also, nice job capturing drops this small
I’ve never noticed that this happens with alcohol before. It looks really cool and does look like someone crying.
This is very interesting how this happens, I never realized that it was possible. Well done and cool video
Loving the metaphor of the title, and how the tears actually dance!
I’ve never noticed this in person before. I’m going to look out for this next time I have a glass of wine! The framing and focus made this video really beautiful. Overall, it’s beautiful!
