I’ve attached a paper helicopter I made onto a string, which was then tied onto a fan blowing upwards. The effect is that the paper helicopter is staying afloat and rotating by itself. The physics behind is that the fan is pushing a fluid which is air, onto the wings of the paper helicopter which creates a lifting force. Due to the geometry of the helicopter it rotates to stay balanced.

It’s a really cool experiment, and I enjoyed the different camera angles. I think it would have been nicer to be lit up by more than just a single desk lamp.

I would have liked to see some smoke flow through the propeller to visualize the movement more.

Really interesting video composition. How did you come up with this idea?

Nice experimental setup, you captured the fluid physics very well. I do think it would be interesting if you did a close-up shot of the moving blades as it would be a bit more arbitrary and would create an uneasy feeling for the audience.

I like the presentation, good work with the camera angles and video editing. It’s not visually apparent that the focus should be on the air flow, though. Perhaps you could add smoke to better visualize the interaction between the moving air and the helicopter’s wings?

This video is very graceful. Did you make the fan yourself? The music choice is brilliant. Love how the blades and all follow the same type of “flicking” motion. Impressed how you captured and processed everything on your phone. What app did you use to edit the video?

I loved seeing the slow motion view of the flight movement. I found it really cool that you did this all on your cellphone. I would love to see how the air actually flows around the propellers of the helicopter

I’d like to see the motion of the fluid flow (air) ; maybe using smoke or powder

Did you have to adjust the setup of the experiment so that the paper helicopter stayed put and didn’t fly away?

Good job, the music is a nice pairing to the motion of the paper. I think colored lighting might enhance the life of the video.

I like how you built an apparatus to demonstrate your effect. That’s commitment (and engineering)!

This is brilliant! I like all your angles and your paper helipcopter. I didn’t realize that it was floating.

Great choice for the music it just reminded me of the episode. Try to aim for more smooth slow motion to get a better result. Great job!

I think the music really added a great tone to the video. I think I would have preferred to not see the light in the angle that was shot from below, but I thought this was a great video!

It is great how the angle of the camera keeps switching during the video, but the nice feeling of the video is still the same.

I think it would have been cool to be able to see the fan or see that it was floating. Until you had said it was hovering above a fan, I assumed it was attached to something rotating.

I like how you used a different variety of angles. Also, that Demon Slayer song really fits the video and makes it really satisfying to watch. Great job!

incredible use of the different angles set up around the spinning helicopter. The set up of the experiment is brilliant to use a helicopter fan above a fan.

I think we often forget that air is a fluid. This video very effectively shows air movement due to a fan.

Great choice of music, Almost looks like the paper is dancing with its self. How hard was it to make the paper helicopter?

Pretty cool video, I think it would’ve been helpful if the air had some smoke or something in order to visualize the flow of the air around the helicopter. I liked the different angles and the slow-mo was really impressive

It is interesting that this video shows the affects of fluid mechanics on something more solid rather than showing the movement of the fluid itself.

The fact that you used many different camera angles was a nice variety and definitely helped to demonstrate the flow.
