In the assignment Team First, our objective was to show the Rayleigh-Taylor instability by pouring acrylic onto a canvas. This paint pouring technique was used in the 1930’s by David Alfaro Siqueros, who discovered the “accidental painting” (“Art and Physics”, 2019).

I love the opening image so much, the ink looks like a really cool sort of abstract painting of an emo boy flipping off the camera while hiding behind a paint shield. Great job!
I like the video effect with the colors changing. Also, great choice of music. Brilliant!
I like how the video highlights different parts of the same “image”. The final state of the fluids in the last few frames (thumbnail image) reminds me of ancient Japanese art!.
Really cool video! I like how you combined all the shots to create it.
First, the music is awesome. Second, in terms of fluids, I love the contrast in the pores on the medium. There are some areas where the paints separates into smaller spheres which is really cool and demonstrates how varying viscosities or densities interact.
The transition of colors is beautiful. The photos remind me of koi fish swimming around each other
I love the way you edited the video, the transitions were matched with the music
What was the process for placing the acrylic on the canvas in the time lapse?
This is amazing! I love your choice in creating a video out of all the images. The colors are all very vibrant.
I think the bright white background does a great job of highlighting the other colors, also nice video editing and music choice.
The perfect white surrounding the colors creates some really beautiful framing, and helps emphasize the subject of the photo.
The music fit perfectly to the video! I think you did a great job with the video editing!
The music is really nice, it has a relaxed and fun vibe. The thumbnail picture reminds of me of an abstract portrait, where the black is hair, the yellow is the face, and the black/white mix is a body.
Very cool mixture of colors and patterns. I like the way you did the video, it’s very artistic
I think the video was extremely effective. Very artistic. Well done.
