This image shows the effect of burning different mediums and the various spectra of light they produce. This is table salt and ethyl alcohol. The little sparks of light are actually particles of salt igniting, creating a particle effect. The alcohol produces the blue flame and the salt produces the yellow/orange flame.

    Very cool, I wouldn’t know what I was looking at without explanation since it’s so close up (not a bad thing!). Did you crop the image in a lot?
