I have been brewing a lot of coffee this semester and noticed that sometimes the dripping coffee seemed to jump off the surface before joining the rest of the brew. It seems that the surface tension of the coffee below is enough to deflect the incoming droplet. I thought it would be interesting to try and capture this in an image, along with the resulting waves that formed in the brew.

Great timing in this picture! I like that you were able to capture the bouncing droplet and the concentric rings and texture on the surface of the coffee are really interesting.
