This video was created by Macro Room, which was founded by Ben Ouaniche, a cinematographer based out of Tel Aviv, Israel in 2016.

Ouaniche captures a seeded boundary technique in the video by injecting acrylic ink into a fish tank full of water with different stationary objects (a model solar system, a 3D printed city, and fresh flowers) and films the way that the ink interacts with both the water and the objects. The experiment that he conducts is simple, but it results in vibrant colors and amazing images that really exemplify both the art and science of flow visualization.

2nd. What a cool form of art. They do a nice job of even showing you how they did some of the editing on the images vs the video.

Third place: the colors used, along with the spheres and gases really make it look like the artist created a new cosmos.

Second: I think the setup for this is so cool and complex. I really like all of the moving pieces and how complementary the colors used are. The final product truly is something I would look at and be intrigued by.

Second Place – Love the color palettes used and the macro shots of each setup. Cool use of slow-mo/ speed increase to highlight dramatic moments!

First – I love the range of color used in this video. The slow motion is a nice touch too as you can really see the details in the flow.

First – There are so many interesting flows demonstrated so beautifully in this video, I loved seeing the pigment falling out between the flower petals.

First – I really like all the different set ups and colors that they tried. I also really liked how they alternated between slow motion footage and sped up, I think it really highlighted the movement of the ink. I also loved seeing the colors billow and swirl and mix together. Overall, just a very pretty and fun video.
