A photo of clouds over Boulder, Colorado at sunset. The above image is the edited version and below is the original. The primary cloud type seen in this photo is stratocumulus both in the foreground and the background.
According to the skew-T diagram below, the atmosphere did have some unstable layers, including at the likely altitude of the clouds in the above photograph.

Awesome shot, and nice job on the post-processing! I love how clearly you captured the different types of clouds present, and the way that the mountains are so visible on the horizon. Definitely feels very dream-like!
I love the pink in the image accenting the very dark clouds. Very gorgeous!
I think the color corrections you made on the image were really cool and added a great effect. The light hitting the clouds in different places adds a lot of movement to the image and is great.
I really like the purple effect of the clouds, and I like the orange hanging on the clouds.
The combination of yellow and purple are just great.
Amazing shot. Love how you brought out the purple. The Indian peaks and Longs peak look so majestic in the background.
I love the edits you made, they’re super unique and the colors definitely make the picture look like it’s ripped straight out of some sort of dream sequence! Nice picture.
