This image was taken using Dr. Hertzburg’s smoke ring gun. This toy creates vortex rings out of “super fog fluid,” which is likely a combination of deionized water, propylene glycol, triethylene glycol, or glycerin, which were able to be captured when lit with a large sheet and placed against a dark background. This image was taken with a 155mm focal length, 12800 ISO, and an f-stop of f/5.0.

This smoke ring has so much character, it looks like a little creature swimming toward the camera and I really enjoy it.
I really like how your focus adds depth to the image, with the upper corner being out of focus and the central ring being in focus
I really like how the photo conveys motion. I also think that the noise in the darker areas adds a lot to the image and makes it feel a little more eerie.
I love the action shot that this creates and it almost looks like a jelly fish.
The blue hue makes it colorful against such a dark background.
To answer your question, I personally like the focus of just the ring, compared to the whisps of smoke surrounding it.
The image has a very neat subtle blue color. I also really like the smoke ring and its trail.
