I really like the shape of the flow and the negative composition it creates above and beneath it. The varying shades of the red brings a nice balance with the white background

I love the colors and smooth consistent fluidity of the shot.

I love that you can see under the flow, and I love that you decided to use dye in your image, it is very beautiful. Additionally, I like the way you cropped it, cropping out the orange was probably a good choice to not distract from the dye.

The seeded dye in this photo really makes it stand out, and draws my eye to two places: the turbulent texture in the center of the photo between the two bumps with the red clouds below it, and the area where the red dye is being seeded in the bottom right of the photo (which helps to give context to its movement).

I like the added color. Its cool to see how the food dye settles more at the bottom than the top. I also like the texture of the water right in the middle.
To answer your question, I think the orange is not needed in this photo since it doesn’t feel like it’s missing context.

I really enjoy the perspective you took this photo at. The reflection of the red dye on the surface of the water is super intriguing. A below surface perspective of water is something very unique to a flume and you captured it very well.

I really like the way the dye looks upstream. I also thought the reflection of the red off the bottom of the surface of the water looks really neat!

I feel like I’m looking at a shark attack. I enjoy the wave, and the red food coloring settling in the bottom. I think it’s great that you are able to evoke such strong emotions with a picture from the flow tank.
