This photo was taken in Boulder Colorado on October 15, 2022, with the camera pointed about 60 degrees into the sky. By examining the Skew-T diagram we can conclude that the atmospheric conditions were completely stable (indicated by the CAPE value of 0.00, and that these wispy clouds likely formed around 4500 meters above sea level, where the temperature and dewpoint lines come closest to intercepting one another. I believe these are some sort of lower-altitude cirrus formations, but I’m not sure.

The way the image is cropped makes it look like the ocean, super neat.
I love how you can see the flow of the atmosphere in this photo. I will be looking out for these clouds.
The super thin clouds look like a wispy and intricate painting
This is such an awesome shot! I love the vibrancy and saturation of colors that you were able to capture.
I think it would be really interesting to see how this formation changed over time
I like all the different shades of blue. It reminds me of the ocean with the different blues and the white clouds look like foam.
This is really cool. It looks like a plane of liquid with dye dispersing out. The thin whisps of cloud looks so interesting.
I like the gradient from white to blue, the deep blues are a great choice.
What special clouds! I love the super high up cirrus clouds that look textured like these.
This reminds me of a shoreline, or like a top-down view of the ocean. Super interesting photo!
I love the contrast between the different shades of blue and green from the top of the tree in the bottom right.
I really enjoyed this photo especially for its simplicity. I like how you kept the tree in the bottom left for some context and it shows the sunlight well.
