For IV4, we experimented with vape smoke and construction alignment lasers. My bedroom can get quite dark when the blinds are closed, so Heider Iacometti and his brother Taighe came over with their planar laser system and vape. By blowing the vape smoke through the laser planes, we can see the flow of the smoke changing with respect to time in a very specific area. This was definitely the most difficult photography project I have done because I really had to experiment with a ton of different settings on my camera and in the photo editing software to get a usable image. I also took pictures from a ton of different angles and distances, totaling 216 pictures. Picking the best one also took quite some time, so I kept coming back to this project.

Very cool image! I like the editing you did, it really made the composition more vibrant. I like how you can distinguish between the laminar flow and turbulence in the shot!
The way the vapor is so green and bright but the background is so dark reminds me of the matrix. It looks surreal and artificial in the best way possible.
Absolute vape lords. My eyes are drawn to the sharp corner on the left in the midst of all the rounded turbulence.
I like the weird, curvy edges.
Nice shot, I really like the gradient you have in the image with the highlights concentrated on the left-hand side. Cool effect with the different layers in focus
You did a good job producing a unique photo. I like how you were able to capture the details.
I like how your vortexes don’t look very circular
This photo feels very 3 dimensional, a good contrast to Heider’s picture.
Awesome pic Zach, I really love the saturation of color in the vapor, especially in the bottom left corner. The bright green creates a really strong and compelling contrast with the black background.
Nice job creating something so different from Heider’s photo. I think you did well in capturing smaller details in the flow.
I love the lines of smoke. It makes me think of a spiderweb with the multiple layers of smoke.
