My Best of Web Post will features this image/youtube visual demonstration of the Chladni plate experiment performed by a youtube artist by the name of Brusspup (I could not find his real name). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wvJAgrUBF4w?rel=0
What I really love about this experiment is how broad the topics of discussion can be regarding the mathematical, scientific, and aesthetic properties of the outcome. With the increase in frequency, the sand tends to pile up into different places across the metal board, creating intricate geometric designs. I’d love to perform something similar to this type of experiment in the future.

    Hello AJ,
System Dynamics in action! Awesome! Prof. Ruben would love this! The resonant frequencies of the plates create great patterns.

    Third Place,

Grains! Vibration! I this these Chlandi Plates are so cool and inspiring to create more awesome stuff. I really appreciate how you chose two aspects that are often overlooked when we think about flow. Great find!

So cool! I was also looking into Chladni Plates but for liquids! I think you’ll also find this interesting; I found a video tutorial for making one at home: https://youtu.be/h69FVsQGjHg?si=_u-Y0UaLBYzYpyXu
I like your post because, as you said, it uses aesthetics, math, and science. I also find it awesome because it uses sound waves and is a really cool way to visualize frequency.
