This video showcases Rayleigh-Bénard convection, where vegetable oil is used as the fluid medium, and mica powder is introduced to make the fluid interactions visible. To initiate the formation of convection cells, the container was positioned on a heated plate. The camera used for recording was the Canon EOS Rebel T6 with an 18-55 mm lens. Special thanks to Greg Kornguth, Stella Meillon, and Austin Sommars for their assistance in setting up the experiment.
