This stratocumulus cloud was captured from my rooftop on the afternoon of the 17th of October at about 6:28pm 2023. I used my grandpop’s Nikon P900 to capture this and edited the photo in Lightroom Classic. There were a lot of good contenders for this Clouds First post, I’ll show some of my favorite clouds from this period below:

Hey there AJ
I love this image! I appreciate the elements within the image to provide perspective on how big this cloud formation really was. The reds, yellows, and blues bouncing off of each other really make the image pop! You can really feel the texture of the clouds in the selected image. Great job AJ!
Mesmerizing photograph, AJ. The colors make it look like lava pouring in the sky.
Stunning colors that add a punch to the image. I’m very glad you added additional images you took this semester because not sharing them would be a shame. Personally, I think the image of the sand dunes is outstanding, it you told me it was taken by a renowned landscape photographer, I wouldn’t question it at all.
All of your pictures on the post are great! I particularly love the lenticular clouds and how blue the photo is.
The colors and lighting are magical! I also like the framing of the cloud with the tree silhouette
I like the range of colors in the cloud, from reds and yellows to black and purple. It looks very cool and it contrasts with the foreground really well
Hello AJ,
The colors in your clouds is really striking. Your editing techniques really make the red and orange colors pop. I also like the contrast of the bright warm colors to the dark cool colors.
