Soap film spectrum

Soap film spectrum

In this captivating experiment, I used wine and shot glasses to create thin films from a mixture of soap, water, and glycerine. The striking videos were captured with the macro lens of my Samsung S23 Ultra, showcasing the mesmerizing interplay between fluid dynamics and optical phenomena. The varying thickness of the soap film within the curved glass surfaces leads to stunning patterns of color through thin-film interference, where light waves reflect and interfere, creating vibrant, iridescent hues. This exploration not only highlights the beauty of complex fluid movements but also the exquisite patterns formed by light as it travels through different mediums.
