Captured is the initial moment a water ballon is being pierced by a sharp pin. The pressure from within the balloon is released causing an exploding effect. As can be seen the water is essentially still in the shape of the water balloon.

Great Idea. The water still in the shape of the balloon is really interesting. great work although you could fixed the focus a little bit more
Where this image really shines is in its composition. I like how the water, still in the shape of the balloon, is framed diagonally by your hand and the shrunken balloon. These elements give the image context and their colors contrast vibrantly. Did you get an image of the balloon still partially wrapped around the water as it was rupturing?
It could be in better focus but overall i like it. The balloon color choice and the texture of the wall behind really add to the image. Maybe crop more of the hand out of the picture though.
The background is aesthetically pleasing. I like how the shattering effect of the flow with the balloon and water is similar and consistent. I believe you could crop or use gimp to change the brightness and saturation of a specific region such as your hand. Great photo.
I like the diagonal of images and colors. A faster shutter speed might give the image less blur but over all I think this is an awesome image.
This image is done nicely. with a interesting light choice. I like the contrast of colors of green blue and pink. The image is also well proportioned. Did you think editing out the hand?
I like this picture. I love seeing slow motion pictures like this, and I think that the blurry balloon flying away and the blurry hand add to the effect, and really put in perspective how fast this happens. The version on the projector appears to have a flat back background, while this one looks like a stone wall, and I think I like the flat back background a little better. The water almost blends in to the wall and makes it a little difficult to tell where the water ends and the wall begins
Although the hands is a disattraction in this image, the high contrast between the warm color from hands and the cold color of the water makes the image really pleasing.
I love the motion of the image. It is interesting how the balloon propels opposite of puncture point. With the diffusion of light across the balloon and the particles sparkling to the left of the image.
Good job on the background. If there was a way to have just the water burst without the hand or the balloon I think that would make the picture best. Great job on the contrast
The light gradient from dark at the top of the water to the lighter area of the water at the bottem is a nice touch. Maybe if there’s a way to not have the hand in the image it might be less distracting, but other than that the image looks really crisp.
Was the ballon in focus when you started taking the photo? What sort of post processing were you using? The black background makes the water pop out in the center of the image. Enjoy that you can see the spray of the water to the left of the image.
I love your idea. I think there is a lot of blur. Maybe there is a way to image this without having the hand. Perhaps a skewer with a needle on the end could eliminate this problem. I like the contrast of colors between the water and the ballon.
This is cool, I’ve seen cool slow motion videos of this but never a still picture before. Being able to see the balloon and the shape of the water helps you understand what’s going on. Well done.
I like how you captured the remaining shape of the balloon and the water as it begins to fall. The lower left half of the image is especially clear and interesting. The upper left half, however, seems to take away from the fluid with the hand out of focus. Overall, good photo and background choice. The black brings out a nice contrast in the water.
Being able to see the water holding the shape of the balloon is a neat effect. I was wondering what your reasoning for not cropping out the hand or bringing it into full focus but leaving it in a blurred half erased state takes away from the picture for me.
This is really awesome! To me the image kind of looks like a rocket ship taking off with green jet fuel. The lighting is really good here and you focus just on what you want. I think you did a job eliminating the importance, so to speak, of the hand. The hand fits in the flow of the image, so I honestly don’t think you need to do anything else with it. Good job!
The hand doesn’t really seem to fit in the picture but I like how you can see the shape of the balloon and the color of the popped balloon. I think that a faster shutter speed would help in this image as well.
You did a good capturing the moment right before the water lost it’s shape. if you could have got a picture where the edges of the water was little more defined, still really cool though.
I would suggest cropping out your hand, otherwise the background being very dark highlights it quite well. A little bit of a higher shutter speed and focus could improve the image.
I find it very interesting that you are able to see the previous shape of the balloon as it is being popped. The contrast of the bright green balloon in the bottom left corner adds a great burst of color to the image.
This is a great idea. I like the splash a lot and it’s a cool explosion. I would recommend doing this outside to get more natural light as well as using a much higher shutter speed to get rid of any motion blur.
The contrast of the water and the background is nice. The image is pretty blurry though.
I like the colors of the image. The black background brings great contrast to the focus of the image.
It looks cool, you can still see the shape of the water in the balloon which is cool. I think with more lighting and a higher shutter speed, the image could turn out really well
I like the image and the idea behind it. I also like that you have a solid black background that makes it easier to see what’s going on in the picture. It looks like your camera shutter speed is a bit slow. If you speed it up I think it could turn out much more sharp and crisp. That is unless you were going for the blurred effect to show motion.
