This photo taken at the bank of the Boulder Creek. Small vortices can be viewed behind the rock and then more turbulent flows can be viewed near the top where the creek was flowing over a rock and creating a rapid. Many different flows and characteristics can be seen here.

I really like the detail in the ripples. Seeing the rocks underneath gives us an idea of how these ripples are caused and why they are flowing in the direction they are going.
This is a nice photo capturing the complex flow of a creek. It is nice to see the complexity of a common object like this.
I love all the turbulence and chaos you can see in this picture!
Very interesting image, John. I enjoy the way the color of the rock changes below the surface. The small waves on the surface are nice to look at.
I like this image a lot, it gives a great feeling of the creek. The design in the waves with the water frozen like this is also really interesting. The waves are intricately formed beatifully.
I like how you used nature to produce an aesthetic image that demonstrates the physics that occurs around us in nature all of the time. I also appreciate the shallow depth where you took the image, it highlights the creek’s flow.
I think some adjustment to the focus would’ve helped show more detail of the water. The focus seems to be on the rock in the bottom right.
I love the natural colors you can see peaking through the highlights and lowlights. It makes for super gorgeous textures and depth to the photo!
