Our group (Kenny Olavarria, Hannah DelGuercio, Peter Jakubczak, and myself) set up a ring laser to shine on a velvet cloth through a cloud created by a fog machine to demonstrate vortices created through turbulent flow.

I like the choice of a monochromatic scheme – it really makes the flow pop against the dark background. I also like that you cropped the image to show the interesting vortices in the flow – it truly shows that even stagnant room in air can become turbulent!
