This image depicts a 2D cross section of turbulent flow created by shining a green laser into a glass cylinder to create a vertical plane. A fog machine was then used to blow thick fog into a black backdrop (To the right of this image) that is perpendicular to the vertical plane. This caused the fog to rise into this plane which created the turbulent effect captured as it travels to the left. This image also displays many vortices and chaotic behavior which are some of the most common characteristics of turbulence. The laser also highlights the density of the fog as the brighter regions are created by more light reflecting off fog particles.

Fantastic vorticity in your image! It looks like a professional picture you would find in a fluid mechanics text book or album cover.
WOAH, there are so many interesting points in this photo. I think the composition of the photo captures all of it in a very clean way .

I like the angle that you decided to take this image from. I think the image could use a little bit more focus but overall it is very visually striking.
I love how well this image represents the vortex flows you observe in turbulent flows. Very good visualisation technique.
